This is a huge accomplishment for our company and we are excited to add it to the list of certifications and recognition. However, you may be wondering what this means for you, our current and potential future clients. In short, it means we have proven to a recognized organization that we are great at what we do!
What is the ASBA?The ASBA, or the American Sports Builders Association, is a national organization that brings together and educates professionals in the industry of designing and building sports fields. The network includes designers, contractors, builders, and suppliers for constructing and maintaining tennis courts, running tracks, natural and synthetic turf fields, indoor and outdoor synthetic sports surfaces. The ASBA was founded in 1965 and currently has over 400 companies as members.
What is a Certified Field Builder (CFB)?The ASBA created the Certified Field Builder Program to set higher standards when it comes to field construction and recognize those who meet or exceed these superior standards. In order to become a CFB, you must complete an application, in addition to multiple other forms and pass a comprehensive exam that shows a high level of field construction and maintenance expertise. CFB Eligibility Requirements:
- Have a minimum of 3 years experience in field construction
- Demonstrate 100 eligibility points in designated areas of management & construction (based on ASBA guidelines)
- Provide 3 references to verify experience and
- Successfully pass the ASBA Field Certification Examination
